Is that paint or bedliner on the doors? It may be hard to tell for me 'cause I'm looking on my phone.

for the shackle flip, have a gander at one of my customers' rigs - the Paddy Wagon.  Reply #59 - http://ramchargercentral.com/index.php/topic,100632.50.html

Pat's rig is a '77 shorty that we did the 'standard' rear flip ion using original Dodge hardware.  These pics will at least give you the basic idea of the fluip and what to expect.  Nacho got the same flip a long time ago with a bit stronger hardware, but Bud (my current project) is getting the full host of (Jungle) Jim's hardware Agree.

Well it has been a while, between work and college i havent had time to post or do much with the truck.
I have primered the truck after taking the bed off, i have the paint just havent got to spray it. Im thinking more and more and plans are changing constintly so we will see where it leads, im really thinking about flatbeding or makeing a bedon the frame to hold gear and thats it. My dads ford had a set of kumho 33's that were just rotting cuz the truck just sits, so i traded him and now have 33's on the dodge. I need to trim the front fenders and see where its hitting. Im still gonna lift it and etc in the future when i get more cash and time. I could resist taking it over to the pond and trying it out on the big dirt hill we have and some mud....
I am stuck sadly, needed more wieght on the back and the truck over heated and died. Defently an issue i will be looking in to, we had to walk back to the house across the pastures to get his bronco to pull me out  Cry

Not very muddy, but when we went to pull her out she started right up. drove her home!

I will be updating as i do things, its gonna go slow but im itching to go wheeling, just trying it out today told me somthings i need to do and things to improve on.

Update: Figured out where i got to cut the fenders, engines fine everything checked out i think i just ragged on her a little hard. Bed is being moved over to the barn so i can start priming, got a new tail light to replace the broke one too Cheesy

Does anyone know where the speed sensor is on this model of truck? I followed the line and it took me to the transfer case, I pulled the line off and theres no probe just a hole with oil all over it.

Its a mechanical speedo cable. A plastic gear inside the transfer case turns the cable when the rear driveshaft turns, it spins the gear inside the transfer case and shows the speed the driveshaft is spining.

Do you have the lift yet.

Sorry I am a late comer to your thread. I just thought I would chime in on some issues I have seen with the stock rear buckets and lifted springs (if you are still planning on running dodge rear leafs).

At a full droop the main leaf drops and can make contact with the bucket (do to the design). And in time the main leaf will bend fubar'ing the spring.

You may consider a flip shackle kit to gain the 4 inches (eliminating the spring issue).

No i dont have the lift yet, been busy with school and working. Plus havent had the money to buy it. I was thinking of doing a shackle flip and maybe chevy springs, since i was gonna have to do the shackle flip i might as well go all the way. The only problem is is that im a newbie and need to read up more before i trust myself doing this lol. If i had someone who know how to do it here coaching me and teaching me it wouldnt be hard, but when it comes to me trying it im scared ill fudge it up rrreeeaaaallll bad. We'll see what i decide, like i said i need to read on it more.

Dont psych yourself out too much. The only way to really FUBAR it would be to hack or make swiss cheese out of the frame, but anything can be fixed with time and patience. But it is always a good idea to read read read. Keep trolling around here and you can learn alot. It has helped me a ton. You are off to a great start. Sometimes it works best to just jump in and get your hands dirty. Good luck.

Ok so im still not understanding the shackle flips, if i ordered junlges parts i would need the front and read shackle flip kits correct? and i could expect about 4"s of lift with factor blocks and springs. But would the new parts bolt where the stockers were? or would they be in a diffrent location? Also lets say i ran chevy springs how could i figure out where to mount the flip parts? Sorry im askin so many questions its just really throwin me for a loop.
