Later on she will either get a 6BT or a newer HEMI swap. All that's left for this part of the rebuild is to finish the interior, exhaust, Bedliner, tint, and off-road lights for the front bar.

I like them, they were affordable, not too much road noise, and they ride good. Haven't been in any really soupy mud to test them but around the farm and hunting they have been good, and they work pretty good in snow too.

I got my vent valve from the local Dodge dealer, can't find my receipt at the moment but if I do I'll get you that part no.

86 the bezel worked great, tied in with the new black interior nicely. I drove the truck to work in the snow this weekend:

Which paint? If you're talking about the body I bought it like that. The interior paint came from Lowes, its rustoleum's new auto white paint. The frame paint is chassis saver and I bought it from Napa, and the interior dye is Sems landeau black and I bought it from a place called Color's edge in mebane, NC.

So whats up with the gauges? How did you do them? Are they storebought overlays or did you make them like the how to here on the site.

Any chance of in process pics & how he did it? What did he use for the Dodge letters? I've been toying with that idea for the back of my gold RC. The head liner decided to droop this winter Cry.

That's the only progress pic he sent me, I'll ask him what he used for the letters.

Oh and I found a crew cab on auto trader I want so bad I can't stand it. Hopefully I win the drawing at work so I can buy it!

I even love the color!

Me too, but for now what to do next on the 84?  I got my tax money so it's just a matter of where to spend it next.

Should I use it on:

The off road lights? ( I'm thinking the black one's since the Rampage Dakar bar is black.)

Line-X Bedliner

Dual Exhaust

Window Tint

or this.......

Professional Products Projection 3

I'm getting fed up with the electric choke and fast idle cam on my edlebrock 650. It would be nice to just hop in the truck and fire it up, not to mention the improvement in mileage I would probally see by switching to fuel injection.

The other option would be I found a 92 W250 in the junkyard that has a Magnum 5.9. I would ge the motor and complete harness. But the question is will the harness hook up to everything in my 84.

So what do ya'll think?

i bought a professional products intake manifold once. never again! just a heads-up. i would go for the J/Y motor. IF (and that is a big if) you can get the engine and harness complete from the firewall forward. then get FSMs for both year trucks. if you are handy with schematics and have a basic understanding of electrical circuits you should be able to adapt the newer harnes to the old at the firewall bulk-head. there are lots of FSMs on ebay right now, and surprisingly cheap.

A 92 will not have a magnum 360. They didn't come out until 93. Just a heads up.

This one did. I looked at the motor myself.

Mopar, you said you bought one of their intakes manifolds but have you tried their fuel injection kits? I already have am eldelbrock performer manifold.

BTW, I'm still a novice at wiring and schematics.

no, i havnt tried one of thier EFI kits. the W350 i am building right now is going to be the first time i play around with EFI. and, check the build date on that 92' with a magnum. i believe, if it was built after 10 of 92' it could be considered a 93'. some of which recieved manum engines. i have seen more than one myself. my dad bought a brand new 92' W250 that had a magnum engine.

Its very possible for a 92 to have a magnum engine, but it'd be a 318 unless someone swapped it for a 360.

In 92, all 318's were magnums, all 360's were tbi. In 93, all engines were magnums.

He didn't say but it appears he laid down the first set of letters then glassed over them then put another set on top of them. He used about 1/4" thick foam. Once he gets back to me I'll let you know.

Ok I got my 95 seats today so now you have to let me in on the mounting secret. Is the front mount just mounted flat and you used round stock for the rears?

Yep, front mounts to the floor and use spacers for the rear. The seat covers came from iggee covers on eBay. If your planning on using the fold down center console I would use another brand. The cover for the console I got was a lil to small and I had to take the top part of the console off to install it. It also doesn't cover the lid so I had to dye that part. If your just using the buckets they are great though.
