I need a transmission crossmember for a 70-80s Dodge 4x4 truck. I live in Queen Creek - call me at 602-616-4523 or email me at patrickcarrube@hotmail.com.

I pay cash or can barter any parts that you may need. I have a tailgate in pretty good shape, a million engine accessory brackets, a grille, etc.

The steering column and bell housing; I saw a 90-92 pick-up with a 4 sp 435.  I can't remember the name of the place, it's at a "pick-a-part" on the south side of Broadway just east of Ecology, it has a pretty big parking lot with big yellow signs.  They have half off sales on Tuesdays I think.

thanks for the heads up! but, that bell-housing is aluminum, and the column is the wrong style. thats the yard where i got the new wiring harness for my truck. i picked it over pretty good looking for goodies.

hey hey !
im new to the R/C scene here, and I'd love to get this chapter back in action. im off 75th ave an peoria, but im always up for a quick meet/wrench or trail drive. me and my bandmates plan offroad fun pretty frequently. nothing insane, no crawling, just good times and lots of mud flinging up.
how many AZ ramcharger guys are there around here?

thanks

i went out wheeling and all my lockers failed  :-(

The rear went into 1wd mode, and the front, while spinning the shaft, didn't actually grab anything and I got stuck. I had lots of friends around, so it wasn't catastrophic.

I'm lookin to force lock the front and use the hubs, but the rear, im worried about.
i am lookin at a detroit locker but those are 700 bucks. Does anyone know a cheaper
or better way to posi lock the rear diff?

Thanks

If it's not a daily driver weld up the spider gears. It's most likely a 9 1/4 so it's going to fail eventually and not worth spending any money on. The front is worth about the same. Find some 8 lug axles like a 60 and 70 from a pre 94 cummins truck. Spend the money once on axles is my rule. And in terms that would be easy to understand (after watching your cool video) don't go elk hunting with a .22 rifle, I prefer a 7mm mag. p.s. I think I saw you in your badass isuzu at 19th and Grand. StevinAZ

hey steve

thanks for the tip on the axles. i'm currently watching for a pair to show up. there's some on CL but they are identical to what i have now. yesterday i did the cheap lock trick on the front (move the shift fork) and its locked good, i have hubs.
the rear, that's another matter entirely. I'd like to put a locker in, but they're pricey.
we have an isuzu, that's my roommate jonboat, the singer of hogjaw.

i want to get my rig locked up, locked in and up high on the mountain. can't wait.

if I go out, ill post a mesage here on the board.  I run with another group of offroaders here and they go out almost every weekend, and have a big one once per month.

cheers

People still do come here and check this Agree

Unfortunately, I haven't got the pieces you're looking for.

I do wonder, however, if the 92 Dakota uses the same upper steering column. I think they look really similar and there are a lot more of those in junkyards than RCs.

EDIT:

Here is a picture of the 92 Dakota upper column. Look similar?

Pick-n-Pull on 56th St. in Chandler lists two 94s, a 93, and a 92. I can vouch that at least three of them were there when I was there last, about a month ago. Not sure about column covers on them though. One was burned up pretty good- looked like an engine fire though.

Good luck!

Looking for a throttle cable. Pulled the motor out of my '79 red express and left it attached like a "D-A" and snapped it. Anyone have one or know where I can get one? Reddying my LRT to do the cruise from Phoenix to Vegas for Mopars @ the strip on April 8th..... I'd hate to have to do this with a string runnig from the card to my hand (jk)!

Hi Everyone....Love this site! Thank you all for the wisdom! I'm new to Older Dodges so be gentle....
I've searched ( & maybe missed something), but I desperately need an ac mounting bracket for the 318, the one that mounts on lower part of ac & upper part of water pump. I understand there are many different setups so advice/ ideas are very welcomed. I have no pull ur parts around, so I'm willing to deal with a fellow enthusiast. Please contact me if you have what I need & willing to talk.  Thanks in advance! James S.E. AZ

You can get that bracket off of 79-91 rear wheel drive cars and pick-ups with a small block.

Hi guys,

I am looking to do an automatic to manual transmission swap on my 1984 Ramcharger.

I need all the parts necessary to do this, pedals, clutch linkage, etc.

Anyone have that to sell ? Is there a kit to do this ?

Thanks,
Steve in Tucson

We're looking for door regulators in great shape for a '77. Mine have fallen apart and the handles won't even work.
