Hey, there is three of us now.  I'll be coming down to August Heat that CAMA puts on in Red Deer on the 14th of August.  The RC is in Winnipeg right now.  Some work being done on it.

That would be a great place for some of us to meet. Except... I'm heading down to Wendover, UT on the 12th of Aug. I'm a crew member/mechanic for my friend, that races motorcycles on the salt flats. Putting up a new post for the August Heat show, might gather up some members?

Can't beleive I havn't spotted your rig in Reddeer.I'm in Innisfail. This chapter is pretty much dead at the moment but in any case, Welcome Agree

Ya, my truck doesn't get driven on the street much anymore. The last few years, it has put more miles in the west country , than on pavement.

Hi there,
I've got a 1978 Trailduster. Calgary. I bushwhack in Fallen/Burnt Timber usually.
Didn't notice there was an Alberta Chapter until today. Next year I wouldn't mind heading down to Ram Jam but I didn't have anybody to go with this year. So that's something to think about...

Another Alberta member!  Agree Depends where Ram Jam is going to be in 2011. I know this years Ram Jam would have taken 3 days of driving to get there... a bit to far for me. You might want to check out the B.C. chapter...http://ramchargercentral.com/british-columbia/2011-whipsaw-northwest-gtg/
Whipsaw sounds like a good time with many Northwest members interested. It would be WAY closer too!

Thanks for pointing that out to me, I'll check into it... I see you're running 440, how did that go for you when you put it in? My housemate's trying to get me to put the spare 440 into mine but I'm thinking to to rebuild my current 318 and put a different camshaft in it...or just going 360 over the winter. Have never run into trouble being reasonably light on my feet and I'm worried about all that weight you boys run with your mudders and such. As you can see, I'm deceptively close to stock and have been for 17 years. If you like to talk about this crap we can take it to another part of the board or private message...

Hey Moparians Grin

Just found this part of the site and thought I would say hey!  I am from Yellowknife NWT, and wanted to stop by and make some connections!

I wheel a 1989 Power Ram W250 with a 360TBI 44/60 with 4:10's  Its sitting on 35's now on a stock suspension - 4" is on my radar!  This year the Tranny went they way of the dodo after getting a few arctic soakers (and so did I Sad  ) lol.  Its got a rebuilt 727 and now I worked all the bugs out of it and ready to build it up a bit more and move forward with it.....

Would not mind coming down there with my bad boy to check things out next year!

Cheers, Jeff

I would like a Honorary AB member status. Grin

Here's my reasons/qualifications:

I lived I Calgary when I was a small child; from 3-8 years old. My Father and Uncle had a Horse ranch SW of the city. We raised Arabs, Clydesdale's, and Morgan's. When My parents divorced we moved out here but my Father moved back to AB (Edmonton) when I was 12 so I've spent lots of time there. I worked in the northern Patch for years (Both BC, and AB).

Besides, I ike hanging out here with ya peoples Wink

And Don't forget you are all more than welcome over on the BC board to post, BS or whatever! Grin

Hi, I bought a 1979 Ramcharger with part-time 4x4, this fall, and fixing it up over the winter. It was running OK, I am adding a 4 bl intake and thermoquad, doing rust repair, and painting it Petty blue. I will start on it as soon as I get the 408 stroker installed in the Charger, and free up some garage space.
Interested in joining the Alberta chapter, and wheeling, or parts and info exchange.
I am in Edmonton.

Welcome aboard Poptop 79. Sounds like you have a good project to start working on. You should start up a thread in the pics section on your project. Then we can all check out your progress on your truck. There's lots of info on this site, and lots of people here to help out with any questions you may have. Good luck on your RC... good to see another member here!  Wink

Hi everyone, I'm Al and live in Red Deer also. Currently l own 2 88rc, dont have the heart to strip the rusty one for parts/ and its working good as a daily driver. My last daily driver was an 84 /6 4spd, that's going to donate it's front clip to rusty, and I also have a 57 dodge pickup as a backyard ornament, that currently has a front clip from a 69 Fury ( just to get rid of straight axle and have torsion bars) 340, 727, and an 8 3/4 suregrip dif. I am a Mopar fanatic, and love exchanging ideas, and sharing experiences. I'm going start checking the Alberta post, now that I have found it.

It's been pretty quiet for the first bit of the winter on here in introductions territory. Just set yourself up to get notified when there's responses to the stuff you are interested in. Seem to be a couple of folks up by Red Deer and north or so...
